Saligia, a 3D top-down action-adventure game, was the first project of Suspicious Games. The first High Concept 1.0 was born out of pure fantasy and afterwards approved by the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern in 2020 for concept funding. Thanks to the support of the FFF Bayern and the ongoing work on the game idea, the team was given the opportunity to develop a prototype with the help of the video games grant from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. The result being a short core-playable.
Alongside this project, we developed the mobile game Zauberzirkel, in which you use gestures to cast spells and fight your way up a magic tower, true to the dungeon crawler genre. In order to gain new experience, a mini-game idea turned into a 2D high-score role-playing game in April 2021. This mini-game was developed while waiting for the german games grant response for Saligia (~2-3 months).
